About the Blog

Constitutional Law and Human Rights Blog maintained by the Student Committee for Constitutional Law and Human Rights (SCLHR), School of Law, UPES, is a platform dedicated to fostering informed discussions on critical issues in constitutional law and human rights. It serves as a space for students, academics, and professionals to contribute high-quality analyses, case commentaries, explainers and thought-provoking insights. Through its content, the blog aims to advance academic discourse and encourage a deeper understanding of the legal and societal dimensions of justice and rights.

Submission Guidelines

Categories:
i) Blog - includes Op-Eds, reflective writing, creative writing, literary writing, artistic works, and any other form of expression.

ii) Case Comment

iii) Explained  

Theme: Submissions must engage with issues concerning Constitutional Law, Human Rights, or related interdisciplinary themes. Topics should reflect contemporary relevance and contribute to socio-legal discourse.

Originality: Only original, unpublished work will be accepted. Submissions must not be under consideration elsewhere. Submissions with plagiarism exceeding 10% will be rejected. AI-generated content will be rejected.


Format: Submissions must be written in a Word document (.doc/.docx) format. They should be between 600–1000 words, written in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and justified alignment.

Citation: Use hyperlinks as far as possible. In exceptional cases, use footnotes conforming to the 4th Edition of OSCOLA.

Language: The Submissions are not limited to English.

Author Details: The title, author name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and contact information must be provided separately in the form.

Review Process: Submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review. Authors may be asked to incorporate suggested revisions.

Deadline: Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis unless otherwise specified for special issues or competitions.

Rights: SCLHR retains the right to edit submissions for clarity, grammar, and formatting while respecting the author’s original intent.
